Training session for Bridge staff!
28 July 2009
The Central Virginia Regional Chapter of the American Red Cross hosted an Adult CPR/AED plus Child CPR lifesaving training for non-profit organization in June. The training was funded by a grant and all our staff participated to ensure the safety of the residents of Building a Bridge.
EVENT PURPOSE
• Goal: Make Central Virginia a safer community in which to live by offering critical, lifesaving training to more people.
• Objective: Improve the safety of our community by providing a free American Red Cross class in Adult CPR/AED plus Child CPR skills to representatives from non-profit, community-based, service providers.
• Outcomes:
A. Enhance our community resources by making safer worksites for the non-profit, community-based, service providers who participate in this event.
B. Demonstrate to the community the critical lifesaving training the Red Cross provides throughout the year.
It was a long Saturday (5 hours of training) and ended with a nice late lunch at Panera Bread.
Thanks to the Red Cross for providing an excellent training.
