After almost 3 years being a “Bridger”, Robert Braeutigam left us to go back home to Berlin, Germany. When he joined Building a Bridge he did not anticipate to stay for several year. During that time he was a wonderful companion for one of our residents, John, whom he lived with for over a year. Robert helped John with his with his daily routines; they enjoyed each other’s company, watching movies, taking walks, and discussing sports.
At the same time, Robert also continued his education and went for 2 years to PVCC, the local community college. He studied mathematics, biology and several languages. We appreciated him all as a friend and colleague and are sad that he had to leave us. We will miss him!
